Terms.

KNEEL is a training tool for your prayer life, not a licensed one. These are the terms for using it: what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and where the line sits between what the app does and what a pastor, a therapist, or 911 does. No hedging, no filler.

1. Who this is and what these terms cover

KNEEL ("KneelDaily", "we", "us") operates kneeldaily.com and the KNEEL application. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of KNEEL. By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or otherwise using KNEEL, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use KNEEL.

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why, and is part of these terms by reference.

2. Eligibility

KNEEL is not intended for anyone under 13, matching the limit in our Privacy Policy. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to use KNEEL. By using KNEEL, you're confirming you meet these requirements.

3. Your account

You're responsible for the email address and password on your account, and for anything that happens under it. Use a real email address; it's how we deliver password resets and anything else that matters.

Losing both your password and your recovery code means we cannot recover your vault, not you and not us. See our Privacy Policy, section 3, for why. Tell us if you think your account has been compromised.

4. What KNEEL is (and isn't)

KNEEL is a daily training ground for your prayer life: Devotion, Bible, Journal, and a Safe AI Prayer Partner. It is a discipline, not a chatbot.

No. Full stop. The AI Prayer Partner is a training tool for your prayer habit. It is not therapy, not counseling, and not crisis support. Anything heavy, anything serious, anything you'd tell a real person at 2am: it will point you toward real scripture, real pastors, and real community, every single time. That boundary is built in, and it's the whole reason "Safe" is in the name.

If you are in immediate danger or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the US) or your local emergency number. See /support for more resources.

Nothing the AI Prayer Partner generates is medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. We make a good-faith effort to keep it grounded in scripture, but we don't warrant its theological accuracy.

5. Your content

Your journal entries, your prayer list, and anything else you write in KNEEL are yours. We don't claim ownership of it.

Your content is encrypted in your browser before it ever reaches us, using a key we never see (Privacy Policy, section 3). That means we cannot read it, and we cannot moderate it the way a typical app moderates what people post. Because of that, KNEEL is built for a private, personal record, not for anything you intend to publish or share with other people through the app: there is no public posting feature.

You grant us the narrow license we need to store, transmit, back up, and display your content back to you, in order to run the service. We do not use your journal content to train AI models, and we do not sell it.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use KNEEL to:

  • break the law;
  • harass, threaten, or endanger anyone;
  • try to access another person's account or vault;
  • reverse-engineer, scrape, or attack the service; or
  • interfere with it running for other people.

We can suspend or terminate accounts that do any of these.

7. Subscriptions and payment

KNEEL does not currently collect payment details or charge for access (see our Privacy Policy, section 2). If we introduce paid features in the future, the price, billing terms, and cancellation process will be shown to you before you're charged, and this section will be updated to describe them.

8. Intellectual property

KNEEL, the KNEEL name and logo, and the app's design, code, and original content belong to us or our licensors. These terms don't grant you any rights to them beyond using the app as intended.

9. Termination

You can stop using KNEEL and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, if we're required to by law, or if we discontinue the service, with notice where we reasonably can give it.

10. Disclaimers

KNEEL is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time.

We are not a religious institution, a counseling service, or a crisis service. Using KNEEL is not a substitute for pastoral care, licensed therapy, or emergency services.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, KNEEL and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to KNEEL is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose.

12. Governing law

Before filing a claim against us, email privacy@kneeldaily.com and give us a chance to resolve it informally first.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We'll update this section to name a specific entity and state once KNEEL is formally incorporated, the same open item noted in our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes

If we change these terms in a way that materially affects you, we will update the date at the top and, for anything significant, tell you by email.
